Name: Ngosi (meaning 'blessing')

Siblings: Adwin (half-brother) and Sadaka (half-sister)

Personality: Ngosi likes to keep to himself, he doesn't trust easily and has a hard time accepting help from anyone. He is a loner first and formost, he prefers his own company and it is rare that he will approach othe lions or lionesses. He has a somewhat serious demenor, a lot like his father, and he hates seeing others in dangerous situations and will help if he can, even standing up against stronger or older opponents. He longs to find a family but believes he never will and is envious of others who have what he hasn't. The only people who can truly bring out a more playful side to Ngosi is Adwin and Dawn.

History: Ngosi was the result of two rogues mating in the savannah. His mother died giving birth to him but he was found by a pack of wild dogs who took pity on him and raised him amongst their own pups. He was never given a name and was always refered to as 'little lion' by the wild dogs. Ngosi always knew he was an outsider amongst his pack so when his mane began to show he bid farwell to his adopted family and went to find others of his own kind.

However, he found that other lions didn't want him hanging around their prides and would chase him away or try and kill him. He survived by the skin of his teeth and this hardened him as he grew older

When he was travelling the savannah one night, looking for a safe place to rest, he found himself caught up in a wildfire. He tried to escape but ran into the path of another younger female cub, he hlped her to safety and the two found a safe cave to hide in whilst the fires raged. She introduced herself as Dawn and was friendly to him even though he tried to keep her at arms length. When she found out that he had no name she gave him one, Ngosi  because he had saved her. She convinced him to try and help her find her sister and the male they were travelling with.

In a couple of days, the fires died down and Ngosi and Dawn set about trying to find Dawn's missing family. They travelled for a few days before they found Imani and Azazel, who were convinced Dawn had died in the fire after getting seperated from them. They invited Ngosi to join them but he declined, wanting to find a pride of his own. Dawn was heartbroken that he was leaving but he eventually moved on, finding himself rather attached to her,

Once again, Ngosi travelled the savannah until he bumped into a lion which resembled him a great deal. This lion's name was Adwin and, as it turned out, was his half-brother as they shared a father but they both dismissed the idea that they were related. Still, they stuck together regardless and wandered the savannah together.

Eventually, the pair happened across the Savannah Pride and it's leader, Mheetu, took a shining towards Adwin and so invited th pair of them to live in the pride. Ngosi was wary of joining such a big group of lions, the only experience he had with life as a group was with the wild dogs who'd raised him but Adwin wanted to stay. Ngosi had come to see Adwin as something of an older brother so he decided that he would stay too. It wasn't easy for him to slip into pride life but he eventually got into the way of it and Adwin was on hand to help him if he needed it (not that he would admit to it).

After a while, Ngosi began to wonder after Dawn and her family. He admitted that the cub had made an impression on him despite knowing her such a short time. After all, she had been the one to give him a true name. Finally, he decided that he would seek her out and left the pride after telling Adwin and his new mate Timira of his plans. He had to admit he was somewhat jealous of what Adwin and Timira had and wanted something like that of his own...and there was only one lioness who was in his mind.

It took surprisingly little time to find Imani, Azazel and Dawn again, it was pure coincidence that they happened to be passing by the Savannah Pride's lands at the time and Ngosi easily caught their familiar scent. All three were surprised to see him again but Dawn soon became delighted and it turned out that she missed him as much as he missed her. He invited all three back to the Savannah Pride with him and Dawn was quick to agree but Azazel and Imani were hesitant. It took a lot of convincing on his part to get Imani and Azazel to return and speak to Adwin.
