Personality: Diplomatic and reasonable, Aboyo is not someone who resorts to low blows to get her way. She has incredible maturity for her age. When she is not in 'business mode', Aboyo is very playful and confident, in fact one would even say that she never has a moment of weakness. She is very extroverted and honest in her responses - her belief is that telling the honest truth, no matter how blunt it be, is better than lying.

History: Aboyo was an accident - after having Halla, Mufasa and Sarabi decided they no longer wanted to have more cubs; after all they had had four already, and Simba needed their undivided attention so that he could take over the throne. Sarabi did not realize she was pregnant again until sometime after Mufasa's death. As Scar had now taken over the Pridelands, he made it clear he was intending on stealing her and making her his queen, and Sarabi did not want a threat being made against her unborn cub when Halla was already having a hard time.

When she felt the labor coming near, Sarabi informed Sarafina and several of the other lionesses, Halla included, that she was bearing Mufasa's cub, and needed them to help keep Scar off of her. They all devised a plan together - Sarabi would 'get hurt' during a hunt, and go missing for just enough time while she figured out what to do with the cub. That night Sarabi took the lionesses out hunting, and she did not return, clearing off to give birth to Aboyo.

Sarabi did not name Aboyo - after all she wasn't planning on taking her back to Pride Rock. With fortunate luck, Sarabi bumped into Mufasa's brother Mega and his pride, remembering him from their cubhood. Mega clearly remembered too and the two made talk as Sarabi described what was going on at the Pridelands. Mega made it clear he wanted nothing to do with what Scar was doing, despite Sarabi's pleas that he help her, but he promised her he would try and reach out to other lion prides, hoping that the Pridelands' relations with them were not tarnished. Sarabi begged Mega to take Aboyo with him, explaining her reasons. Mega replied with no further need - he was devasted to find that he was infertile and thus could not bear cubs of his own. He took Aboyo in, and she never saw her mother again.

Mega didn't give the cub her name until she developed her personality when he saw that she always had an air of confidence about her. She did not walk, she sauntered, and thus she earned the name Aboyo. Mega and his mate spoiled Aboyo rotten, but taught her enough that she could be independent if needed. As she grew older Aboyo became interested in the 'politics' of the other lion prides, and self-appointed herself as advisor to her uncle whenever his pride wandered.

Since Mega's pride policy was to allow anyone to join (a liberal feat that many others did not agree with) as they were all wanderers at heart, Aboyo was allowed to have a mate without abiding to old traditions. She met her future mate Dakarai when he came across the pride. The two grew close and Aboyo was ecstatic to meet someone who was around her age. As time went on Aboyo found that she was in love with Dakarai and could not see herself spending another moment with some other lion, so one night she beat him to confessing her feelings. He felt the same way about her, and they became mates. Afterwards Dakarai officially became part of the pride, and Mega gave them his blessings. She ended up starting the family she always wanted with him.

Her life, as well as Mega's, came to an unexpected and tragic end when Halla and Malka's pride invaded them.
