Personality: The bad boy of the two. Reno loves to fight, and would never pass up the opportunity for it. He has a big mouth, and that often gets him into trouble. He's a smart aleck, and menacingly smart. However, he doesn't want to be like his father, whom he views as a failure. He thinks of himself as a better lion, even though he plays rough and dirty. Reno, unlike Scar, has a sense of honor, and would like a fair fight if the opportunity is given. But even if the fight isn't fair, he still would want to fight anyhow. As he aged, though, Reno's infatuation for fighting grew less and he became more concerned about his family rather than his ability to fight. When it comes down to it, though, he will not hesitate to step back into his old ways.

History: Angered and feeling humiliated by Nuka, son of him and Zira, Scar decided to bear select another lioness to bear his cubs. Sarabi, who he originally wanted as his Queen, denied him a second time, and feeling sore Scar  selected Sarafina to bear his next cub. Reno was born before the end of Scar's reign. When Scar was killed and Simba re-established himself as the king, Sarafina feared for Reno's life, as she thought that Simba would kill Reno, so she left the Pridelands. When she returned, Reno was not with her.

During her trip, Sarafina had come across Ni's pride, whom he was moving through the area. She begged him to take her cub, which he agreed to. Ni raised Reno alongside his son Ikeena. When both cubs got older, and Ni saw that his own son was becoming a failure in his eyes, he turned his expectation to Reno. However, Reno knew Ni disliked Ikeena, and so asked Ikeena to leave the pride with him. Ikeena agreed, not wanting to be living with his father anymore.

Both lions left the next day, and they began wandering as rogues. Eventually Reno and Ikeena came across Judas's pride. Obviously, they were unwelcomed and left as soon as they came, but soon they found they had a tagalong in Zuri, who left her pride in hopes of becoming strong enough to kill her brother. Unknown of these intentions, Reno and Ikeena took her in. Not long afterwards, they came across another cub, Adwin, who had been abandoned by his family. Feeling sympathetic, they took him in too. A third cub, Chari, joined them not long after.

Zuri, Chari,  and Adwin grew up and left the two males eventually. Reno was distraught to lose them; he had grown quite attached to them! Eventually he and Ikeena ran into a sick lioness, whom Reno recognized was his own mother. Sarafina, ill and dying, was very happy to see her son again and explained everything to him, why she abandoned him, and everything she could remember about his father. They stayed with Sarafina during the night, but by morning, Sarafina passed away. Hearing about what a monster his father was, Reno decided that the ultimate revenge against him would be to not continue his lineage. For now Reno has taken a vow of chastity in order to prevent another Scar from being born.

During their travels, a lioness named Sauda joined them. Reno did not want to have anything to do with her in case he was tempted by her. He tried to get her to accept Ikeena, who was trying to impress her at the time. However, he did give in, and mated with her, producing Rena. Disgusted with himself for breaking his vow of chastity, Reno avoided his family. Ikeena called him out on his bull-headness, and struggled to repair the bridge between the family while taking care of Rena. Eventually Reno got over himself and apologized to Sauda. Sauda forgave him and went on to bear him more cubs.

Ikeena, inspired by the events, decided he wanted to go out on his own and look for someone (that someone happened to be Hania, whom Ikeena had mated with during their travels). It was a sad event as both brothers parted, never to see each other ever again. Though every day Reno continues to long for his adopted brother, he has his paws full with all the cubs he and Sauda have.

However, giving birth to so many cubs led to feelings of resentment among some of them as they felt they had to compete with their siblings. Rena was one of them, and her disappearance once she was old enough was the catalyst that forced the family apart. Sarafina, Gacheru, and Abrafo disappeared not long after to find their older sister.

Things grew worse - Reno and Sauda encountered a shortage in their food supply, and Sauda was pregnant again. While traveling to find new grounds, Sauda collapsed. Though Reno did the best he could to take care of her and their unborn cubs by bringing back what he could, Sauda's condition only worsened until she finally died. With his mate dead and his cubs gone, Reno has begun the dangerous trek to find Ikeena, hoping that his brother was still alive and well.

He eventually did find Ikeena, lying dead on the ground after having fallen to his doom. His heart ached - first his mate was dead, now his brother? Reno felt it was only right to stay by his brother's side, where he eventually passed in his sleep.
