I know that they have answered the question before me, but I would
recommend using GIMP. I tried using Paint.Net, and to me it was the
most confusing. Of course, I am just naturally confused by almost
everything, but I have learned how to use layers on Gimp, and my
renders come out nice. For examples, you may check my gallery if you
are interested. Honestly, I use a mouse to make the lines, which is
very hard to do unless you have a steady hand. |

Here is my answer from some other question: Then try some free alternatives. Like: Paint.net - http://www.getpaint.net/ GIMP - advanced one, can be bit confusing for new users - http://www.gimp.org/ Sumo Paint - runs entirely on your browser - http://www.sumopaint.com/home/ HeliosPaint - http://www.heliospaint.com/ Pixia - http://www.snapfiles.com/get/pixia.html PhotoFiltre - http://photofiltre.free.fr/frames_en.htm These are some good programs. Sure at beginning they might be bit confusing, but do not worry, with practice you will get used to them. |
