How do you make renders on a Mac computer?

How do you make blank renders on a Mac? I know that Catwhohas14tails did a forum tutorial on how to make blank renders but that was used with a windows computer, in which, I don't own one. Please answer and thanks!

Concept should be same on on any program, all you need to do is to locate same tools in drawing/image manipulating program you have on mac. Or try to find some Paint like solution. For example Pianta:

Thanks Seth! I'm downloading Pianta right now! The only programs I have are Pixlr and Seashore, which aren't very good.
