Most of us agree that The Lion King is Disney at it's peak. Based on William Shakespere's Hamlet, The Lion King is brilliantly drawn and well thoguht out. The story line is interesting, and occasionally adds the few puns to keep the veiwer entertained.
The Lion King 2 was not as good. Rather rushed and badly drawn, it was no where near as stunning as the first one, and a bit of an anti climax. However, the Romeo and Juliet theme kept veiwers (and me) quite happy, so over all it was all right.
Then they did a Lion King 3. When I first heard that, I was so happy-We finally get to see Kovu and Kiara's cubs! But when I finally watched it, I was like: Oh....Timon and Pumbaa? Disney clearly only made the movie ot to keep the fans happy, but to keep the money rolling.
The story's is funny and engaging, but clearly it was hurried. For starters, Timon and Pumbaa meet each other, and then walk past Pride Rock to find a new place to live. Here we see Simba as a new born being raised into the air by Rafiki.
Then Timon and Pumbaa find a new place near Pride Rock, and they fall asleep. the very next day, Timon is awoken by loud music; it's Simba and Nala bouncing around singing Oh I just Can't Wait To Be King. this is all very well...right up until the point you remember that Simba was a newborn the day before.
Also, later on in the movie, Timon, Pumbaa, Uncle Max and Ma help trap the hyena's. But in the first movie, don't Timon and Pumbaa beat up Shenzi, Ed and Banzai in the cave where Zazu is trapped in a rib cage?
Overall, some parts are confusing but very funny.
I rate it 5/10
