Personality: Perhaps the most accurate way to describe him in one word would be "slacker"- much preferring to sleep or goof off than do anything truly productive within the pack; only working just enough to avoid getting kicked out. Nikodim's usefulness lies in power and the like, but is rather lacking in many other fields that would be deemed useful in things like hunting. He is not so much arrogant (which often associates with the term 'douche') as he is prideful, and often will not do something if he believes it to be "an insult of his potential," which is ironic because he spends so much of his time fooling around. Hah hah. Now, as with any other person, there are of course many other layers and aspects of Nik as an individual- an example being his fear of bears, stemming from a rather negative experience he'd had as an adolescent- but this is (thankfully) more of a "general blueprint" of his personality than a lengthy, in-depth analysis of his psyche.

Likes: sleeping, wrestling, his family, himself, procrastinating, not doing what he's supposed to be doing

Dislikes: bears (adult bears), hunting, being told what to do, ice covered lakes, cold water in general

History: Originally from Eastern Russia, his mother and father took their pups and snuck onto a cargo ship (somehow unnoticed. How? I... I don't know. I guess they're masters of illusion), thinking it would take them to a place that didn't have weather quite as harsh as the Siberian Tundra. It turns out, Northern Alaska isn't much better surprise surprise, but the average temperature is higher, so the whole ordeal wasn't entirely pointless- actually no... it's relatively the same, so really the only thing that changed was that they now had no pack and lived much closer to a small population of ~~*homosapiens*~~ and domesticated canines.

Eventually they stumbled across that ruined boat little puppy Balto and Boris lived in and crashed there for a few nights, because constant exposure to below freezing temperatures isn't such a great idea when you have kids (go figure). The visit was relatively short-lived because, as fine of a fellow Boris was for allowing the family shelter, they needed to find a pack and establish a secure environment for themselves and their children; thankfully, the wolf pack near Nome was kind enough to take them in, and you know? That was really really cool of them (though not every member of the pack accepted them, considering they were complete strangers, and for all they knew, the newcomers could be dangerous; a reasonable fear considering they had their family to worry about).
Nikodim and his family still live in the same pack and, for the most part, things are pretty dandy... though Nikodim does have a tendency to sneak around Nome and "inspect" various houses' meat supply.

Relation to Balto: As previously mentioned, Nikodim and his family briefly stayed with Boris and Balto, who, like Nikodim and his siblings, was only a kid at that time; aside from being playmates in that short period of time, they have no personal relationship with each other.
