Storyboards animation of this deleted scene can be seen here. Looks like this scene got fully animated as there are some known colored images saved from it. One appears in the book Balto the Hero:
Another one (Steele standing on a barrel) appears in one of Balto DVD releases:
Deleted characters
Originally Balto and "Snowballs" were two separated projects, but Snowballs was canceled for some unknown reason and all concept art were given to Balto. There were originally some more characters form original project:

Snowballs was the name of the film before it became Balto I believe.
Whoever edited this page made a mistake. They likely pulled that
information from Acanis's website, which he later confirmed to be
false information. |
