Well, it's been a month since I updated. As I said, I haven't got the time to make major changes to the site currently, and it won't get better until christmas. Although, the site is still regularly updated, especially the fan arts.

There has been a big change with the fan art system. Normally I wouldn't have written a news before a few days, but
I believe it is important to explain the changes now.
A usual complain about the fan arts, was the fact that they were updated only once a week or sometimes more.
So I changed the way the fan arts are managed, and now, instead of updating all the galleries at the same time, each gallery will be updated directly after having been checked!
So, the fan arts will still be checked before being displayed on the site, BUT you won't have to wait a week to see them! Count probably 1 [...]

To make things easier for me, and easier to read too, I've now decided to list the updates done on the site instead of always making sentences.

Maybe you have already noticed, but a new 'music video' page has appeared in the fan section.
I wanted to make that section since a few time ago, and the thing that decided me is that I have found a host for everyone, which is easy and permits everyone to upload yourself your videos.
So, you can now see music videos on the site (there are already 13 videos added!), and add yours. (in that case, go to the 'send' page and choose 'send a music video', then follow the instructions.)

I have updated the fanfics section with a good number of new ones. Rotramel has also updated his very first fanfic 'Jenna's journey', the one he is currently trying to publish.
There's a not-so-new poll on the site. You'll also find one new link to Balto sites, and some were updated.
Since there were some problems on the shout boxes (again), talks about mates are now only allowed in a new shout box, 'mate box'.

First, there is a new poll on the site. At the moment, it seems that there are a good number of people who didn't register on the forums because they don't understand how to use it, so there may be something to do in that way in the future.
Talking about the forums, I have divided the fan section into fan art and fan fiction sections.

I have added a few fanfics from Rotramel and silver_balto.
On the forums, you'll see the last message on the shout box displayed at the top, just like on the site. So, this way, you'll be able to keep an eye on the shout box even when you're on the forum.

We have decided to include a new section in the fan arts : the Favorite section.

This is just a little update this time. The main thing that changed since the last update, is the forum design. Probably everyone is already aware of this change, but with all the work that me and GamesOfLight put into this, it's still worth mentioning. So far, no one returned to the old design, so I guess everyone like it ;)
The poll was changed twice since the last update. There is a new article on the site, on the Cleveland Museum Exhibit of the true Balto. There is a new fanfic from Lone Wolf.

The news aren't really busy (we are still waiting for information on a possible Balto 4...), it will become more difficult with time to update the site with other things than fan creations.
But I'll try to improve the site as much as I can.

Two articles have been written since my last update. There are 3 new fanfics, and I've changed the poll again. If you go in the award page in the 'Contact' section, you'll find 2 new awards, which were done by the french fans for the one year of the site.

I have changed the poll. One fanfic has been updated. I've made a few changes in the code of the site to make it slightly quicker, and to get it better referenced by search engines.

As I don't have much time these days, this is only a very small update.

I added two fanfics, I changed the poll, and I added an article from Juuchan17. As soon as I get more time (I'm currently studying for my driving license), I will make more important updates.
The 500 signatures bar on the petition will soon be reached! Continue the efforts!

First, I've changed something on the fan art and wallpapers system : now, you'll be able to see which pictures have been correctly sent on the site, without having to wait for the next update.

I've changed the poll, added some fanfics, and a few links. From the results of the previous poll, it seems clear that most Balto fans did enjoy the 'white wolf' scene above everything else (57%!)

GamesOfLight : I updated the fan arts and the wallpapers on the site, and I changed the 'fan art of the week'.

steet : UPDATE : There was a small problem on the Lion King Source, with the creation of the galleries : the galleries were created in the wrong list (on balto source) instead of the list of artists on the lion king source. So if you couldn't create a gallery because of that, it should work now.

As most of you have probably noticed, there have been a few changes on the site.

First, I moved the rules on the chat, so that they will only appear if you click on 'display the rules'. (I think you only have to read it once, so it was useless to display them all the time)

Then, I've added a new section for every Balto : the articles. This section is meant to contain good information that will be interesting for the Balto fans. Most of the articles that will be there, will come from the most interesting topics on the forums.

GamesOfLight updated the fan arts, and the wallpapers. He changed the fan art of the week. I added some links to Balto websites, and two new fanfics from Rotramel. I also changed the poll. I promise to go back working more on the site in one week, but for now...

This is kind of a big news to me : from now on, I won't be the only one working on the site.

I have given GamesOfLight, a french fan, access to everything on the site. So he will be able to update things like fan arts for me!

First of all, I've updated the fan arts, added two fanfics from Rotramel, and a few wallpapers.

The biggest update here concern the link section. This was probably one of the weak points of the site, but it's not anymore now. It is now divided in three sections.

* The first one contains more or less the same links than before, and they are the most interesting ones to me.

I have finally completed the galleries for both Balto 1 and Balto 2, which represent around 200 new screenshots...No need to tell you where to find them. Only the Balto 3 will need to be completed now!

Fanfics and wallpapers were a pain to update, considering the fact I had to do everything manually. But this time is finished! I have changed the system, it was much work but it's working. Now it's easy for me to add fanfics and wallpapers, and you can even upload your wallpapers the same way as the fan arts! (but as the fan arts, they won't be displayed until I've checked them though.) The big change in the fanfic system is that you'll now be able to add comments to the fanfics you've read. So if you've read some, please give reviews, I'm sure the authors would appreciate that!

The first one is the opening of The Lion King Source. The name says it all, it's a Lion King site I've made, based on Balto Source model. I've added two smilies on the shout boxes, and I've updated the fan arts.
Thanks to Gamesoflight, I've been able to add scans from the cover of the soundtrack of Balto, which you will find in the "Information -> Other" section of Balto 1. I've also moved the goodies and wallpapers in the fan section, which seems more logical.

As most of you have noticed, a petition for Balto has been started. It would be too long to describe the reasons of it here, so for more info, check the topic on the forum here.

All I can say, is that I've made everything I could do to make it so that every Balto fan will want to sign it. Notice : I know that some people didn't sign it because they don't want some of the things included in the list. You're wrong! Even the most hardcore Balto fans wouldn't probably buy everything. I updated the fan arts, with an impressive number of drawings (I can't even count them now...), and no less than 14 new drawers! I changed the poll as you may have noticed, and I added new links to Balto sites (in the links section, of course).
I believe the site is becoming really complete now...I'm not sure I'll be able to change anything in the system. First of all, due to the requests of many since I forbid roleplaying on the shout box, I made another shout box exclusively for roleplaying.
Also on the shoutbox, I added a small list of background you can choose from, in order to make the shoutbox much prettier.
On the forums : I added a "star" system, which gives you a few stars according to the number of posts you made. I also added a lot of new avatars, mainly thanks to Baltra. And, I also added a board for roleplaying on the forums, too.

I've changed the poll, in order to see (once again) how Balto 3 performed for the fans. I've updated the fan arts, the fan art of the week, added a lot of new wallpapers in the multimedia section of Balto 1.
Finally, I've added 70+ screenshots from the beginning of Balto 3 in the gallery.
Wow, I can't believe that's all, with all the time I spent on this...

Update : I forgot about this, but I've put the full Balto 3 script in the Information -> Other section, it has been written by Kodi*.

I've added nearly 100 screenshots from Balto 1, and 25 screenshots from Balto 2, thanks to my (modified) fan art send system! You can see them in the galleries, and also in the window in the banner. It makes everything fresher, I was becoming tired to always see the same pics :) The gallery for Balto 1 is nearly complete!

I added one fanfic, updated the fanarts (which includes some that I forgot to add last time). There's a new link to the german site : Balto.de . I've also added a ton of new wallpapers of different kinds.
Finally, I've added links to Keyframe on the review for each Balto, to give a better overview of the general opinion on the films.
Oh yes, according to the counter, the site also reached the 100.000 visits! (but you should know that this counter is not really reliable.)

You thought I was becoming lazy with the updates? Not at all : it's just that making this nearly all new design took me much time this week...I hope everyone will like it! There are too many changes for making a list, so you should just check for yourself the "new" Balto Source. After being shown on Cartoon Network two days ago, the second DTV sequel to Balto has finally reached the US market (the major one!), and also Canada. For this occasion, Universal launched an official website for Balto 3, which can be found at this adress : www.baltodvd.com. There isn't anything really interesting on it, but at least it is an official website. I've updated the fan art section with a lot of new drawings (I will not put the drawers list anymore since you can now see who sent new fan arts since last update, with the blue borders)
For most screenshots and fan arts on the site, borders will appear when you point the mouse on them, so that it gives a better feeling for the pics you can click on. I may have changed a few other things here and there, but can't remember what it was.

The major word of this update is : simplification! (at least, for me) Considering that I haven't got all the time I want to do everything I would, I've decided to "automatize" several things. You probably won't notice most, but there is a major one that concerns the fan arts (drawings). First, I would like to congratulate all the visitors for breaking the 50.000 visits limit, and also for increasing so much the number of pages viewed by visitor! The only thing that I'm a bit afraid is that the site is taking more and more bandwith, and I wouldn't like the site to be a victim of its success.
