My analysis? Disappointing. VERY disappointing.

This is below the expectations, below any 3D animated film being released over the past years. UP made 3 times that, other lesser efforts such as Cloudy With a Chance of Meatball or Disney's A Christmas Carol made much better.

So if you live there, well...what are you waiting in front of your computer??? Get out and see it! Now! It's an order!  

More seriously : for now the film has grossed $2,410,820 in only two theaters. (pre-release) which is an impressive amount (but was expected!) We should receive the "real" figures in a few days with its first wide-release week end.

I have performed a lot of changes on the sites recently, in order to solve some trouble with webranking.

Especially, the forums URL have changed : but don't worry, if you bookmarked some pages, you will be redirected to the right page.

I have done some testing, but if you see experience some bugs, please report them!

I have done a little change on the way news are displayed.

In particular, the Animation Source news will appear on all the sites, so that everyone knows when I make changes that affect all the sites.

Also, only a part of the news will be displayed on the front page, in order to show more than a single news. The aim is to write news more often, so that you'll get updates more regularly! (instead of one big news every month or so, like I used to do)

I am sorry for the lack of Forum News to the site, it seems that now school is back, there has been little time for new topic's to be created that I would be be able to show you all. Due to this, the update will be a short one and I may of repeated a topic in one of my last updates.

The "Fan characters" section has suffered a lot since its creation, and that's partly due to the fact that when I first added it on the site, I didn't finish it entirely.

So now, just like the other sections, the fan characters have rules and must be validated by moderators before they are added on the site. They will also have "must see"s.

Here are the rules :

Related to Balto : Fan characters should be connected to the Balto characters / universe. For example, you can invent the son of a character, a friend, a foe, etc...Or a character connected for other reasons (places, universe, [...]

Lately, I've been working on a few changes on the moderation side.

I have named Togo the "Site admin" of Balto Source. This means he is in charge of the mods, so if you've got complaints about them, send them to him! () In general, contact him if you've got any problem with the way the site is managed, except for bugs reports / requests for new functionalities that you should still report to me.
He can change the mods list and permissions himself, so that the staff will be more efficient. (in particular when it comes to inactive mods)

We're currently working on the site, and it's causing some problems. Such as the site crashing, messages in the Shout Boxes "disappearing," the site lagging, and so forth.

Steet has added a program called "APC," which a lot of big sites use. As he said, "Most professional websites use APC : wikipedia, facebook, etc..."

That's it, I have finally made the big update I planned since a few months.

Although you may not see a big difference (I have kept the same layouts), the sites run on a new "engine".
