Asali looked over at him confusion written on her face before a sly smile crossed over her face "you'll have to catch me first !" Asali laughed taking off running

Moto watched her in bewilderment as she bounded off. He stopped for a moment, cocking an eyebrow. 'What on earth has gotten into her?' he thought to himself, continuing to pad after her. "I won't chase you, you know," he called. "You better stay within my eyesight. Things could be lurking about," he added worriedly, looking around.

Asali huffed in annoyance being careful to put as much distance between them without being too far away "is that all you think about ? Your not on guard duty to night your just moto" she said her tail swaying from side to side "now your going to relax and have fun , that's an order !"

"I don't take orders from you. Only from the king," he called, huffing impatiently at her distance. It bothered him because she was so far away. If she were to be attacked, then he might not be able to make it in time. When he had been a rogue, you had to look everywhere for danger. There wasn't a single place without it. And even though he had started to get more accustomed to pride life, still, he would remain vigilant to his surroundings, no matter what.

"I can take care of myself just so you know"asali laughed finally giving up and walking towards him slightly , titling her head

"Well, what if a band of rogues were to attack. I'm not sure you could handle yourself against more than one male," he replied, flicking his tail as he walked on. Moto knew enough about fights. After all, he had the scars to prove it. He knew how easily it would be for two males to overpower Asali. She didn't have quite the same muscle mass nor did it seem the maturity to handle such conflict, so he would have to stay nearby.

Asali rolled her eyes slightly "oh I'm sure you could teach me huh" she said in a rather snippy tone she turned her head when she suddenly heard something "what's that sound ? It sounds like water"

He rolled his eyes at her attitude, then stiffened when she said that. He pricked his ears, sniffing the air. "Hm. Must be a stream nearby," he replied. His muscles relaxed as he realized nothing dangerous was here....yet.

"Lets go see" asali said completely forgetting about her and moto's other conversation as she jumped up on to a log to cross it

He jumped up after it. "It's getting late. We should head back soon," he said simply, looking for the water she had described. Indeed, the stars were out and were glittering, the moon casting a glow upon the lands. It seemed almost peaceful, and Moto felt himself relaxing slightly. But, he quickly shook it off. He had enough sense to know they had to be on alert at all times, no matter where.

Asali sighed slightly her eyes widening as she looked in front of her "wow" she said , in front of them was a kind of oasis in the middle of it was a rather large pool of water with a waterfall "it's beautiful" she said her eyes filled with wonder

Moto looked around, and marveled at the different colors and the way the water sparkled in the moonlight. Indeed it was a rather beautiful place. "It's very nice," he said simply. The guard jumped off the log, and padded towards the water, studying it carefully. He sniffed it, then after deciding it was clean, took a nice long drink from the cool water. When he finished, he lifted his head, licking the last water droplets off his muzzle.

Asali padded over to the other side of the pond and bent down lapping at the water closing her eyes

He looked over to Asali and couldn't help but give her a small smile. She looked very nice in the moonlight, the ghostly glow matching her gray fur. He had to admit, if only to himself...she looked beautiful. These thoughts soon dashed once he went over what he thought about. Feeling his face grow hot, he quickly diverted his gaze to the water, and tried to focus on the ripples.

Asali's eyes opened turning her head towards moto she was sure she had felt him watching her"um ... are you alright moto ?" She asked
