Personality:
a wise and fair leader, Kurimutora knows always what is the right thing to do, even if it may cost someone's life or feeling, but he tried to find a negotiation that doesn’t involve a battle if he can, if not, he will fight for what he thinks is the best, he has to decide for the pack and not only for himself though sometimes, it's hard for him; he tries to not be influenced by someone because he doesn't want to treat unfairly none of his pack members; he may be without an eye but his hearing is much better than a normal dog, giving him an advantage of knowing an eventual danger even during the night or when it's foggy; he deeply cares for the ones that he loves but doesn't show in public his feelings and sometimes he regrets it; even if old, he doesn't like to be treated as an old dog because he can still kick the younger's butt and he had nothing to stop it to prove it; he doesn't like dogs that talk or act without respect for others. He is a very experienced dog and is always willing to share his knowledge. 

Likes/Dislikes:
Kurimutora likes spending his time with his pack mates, what makes him sleep tight and relaxed at night, is knowing that his pack is feeling good, with a full belly and safe. He likes to teach, that’s why it was always him that taught the younger or the newest members, the ways of the pack and he likes to know if his is a good way to explain things or if he should do something different, he always tells his pack mates to say if there are problems or something that he could do to improve their well being, he lives for his pack and he knows that a happy pack won’t have any internal conflict. He loves both of his sons even if he shows it in a different way and he’s aware that he’s favoriting his son Shun a lot more than Sora. He doesn’t like those subordinates that think they can do his vices only because they’re a higher rank than others, if some action has to be taken, it is Kurimutora that decides what to do, not others. Double faced dogs are the worst to him. He also isn’t a fan of free violence.

History:
Kurimutora was born far in the north or Hokkaido, this explains his fur color: all his pack of Kais had light coloured furs, due to the fact that there was snow most of the year and their pelts were the best way to not be seen while hunting. Kurimutora, was the son of two common pack members but his uncle was the leader, who immediately noticed that his nephew had an ability with the leadership, the opposite of his own sons, who were more interested about stealing humans’ barn animals, not thinking they could be shot. Infact, while a teen, he ran into a hunter with other 5 relatives from the pack, a hunter who was the owner of some chickens and sheep that the leader’s sons hunted. There was a fight with the hunting dogs and Kurimutora lost an eye while the other members where either mutilated or killed. Kurimutora met humans again. Due to many new dogs' pack, the humans from the town around, decided to get male or female dogs to sterilize them, so they would live but wouldn't be able anymore to have pups. Kurimutora was caught while he was patrolling alone. He knew what was going to happen and escaped. Sadly, he was caught on a metal rope, the one used for the deer, he was found by the hunter who thought to have taken a deer but, instead of being shot, he was put on a cage inside a truck, which travelled south, near the center of the nation. The hunter wanted to keep him and train him so, he brought the dog with him south in Hokkaido where he lived. Kurimutora didn’t know what to do, alone and in a place so unfamiliar. Luck came by his side, as the leader of the Hokkaido island noticed the hunter and came to his help: Hakuro. Hakuro knew the hunter, a very rude men that basically kills his dogs while he trains them and so, when his scent is close, Hakuro’s subordinates always report this to him and he comes to check if there are some trapped dogs that he can free, to spare them a most certain death under that brute. Hakuro let him stay for a while but Kurimutora knew he had to move on. He  didn't know where to go but asked to a pack of dogs to be taken in. Everybody seemed to like him, he was from the north and he had many tales to tell, even if he was young, but he remembered them from the elders of his old pack.

Once mature, the leader of the pack, a big mix between a Labrador and a St. Bernard challenged him. Kurimutora was an healthy and strong young male and the mutt leader feared for his females. Too overconfident, he thought to defeat Kurimutora but he was only able to give him another scar on the chest and was forced to leave. Days after, his body was found with a bullet hole on his forehead. Kurimutora was now the leader of the dog's pack. Sadly, in the territory there was another pack, small but powerful. Kurimutora didn't want a war and decided to listen to advices, he even spoke with Hakuro to find a solution, since the other pack wanted the territory and was making a lot of pressure. It was suggested to make the two packs a big and only one, Kurimutora would still be the leader, all he had to do was to take as mate the neighbor’s pack leader's daughter, Sylena and of course, having pups with her. The other leader accepted, after all, even if powerful, his pack was small and he didn’t have a lot of chances of victory, he stepped down and let the position to the kai and his daughter. Sylena was totally crazy over Kurimutora, while he saw her only as a duty, she wasn't the girl for him but he couldn't refuse to mate with her. Only a pup, though, was produced by the two, a blueish striped one that they called Sora, a blessing from the sky. Kurimutora had the son that he wanted and Sylena wasn't leaving the small pup alone, sure that now, she and her mate were forever bonded. Days after, the scouts reported the notice of a young female wandering in their territory. Kurimutora met her as leader and, from the first moment, he understood that she was the girl he had always looked for: nice, caring and sweet. She had a bad amnesia and didn’t remember anything about her life, not even her name so she was called Ushina (Ushinawareta means “lost”). Kurimutora had Ushina in his “class of students”, the pups or the newest members that were taught by him how to behave in the pack and the basic things such as borders and hunting.

The two began to spend more and more time together and eventually, even Ushina developed feelings for him. The two tried to hide their relationship but Ushina ended up pregnant so Kurimutora had to announce in public that they were in love. After hearing the news, Sylena went insane. She wanted Kurimutora all for her, she had all the rights to do it and this rogue girl was an obstacle to get rid of, pregnant or not. Ushina gave birth to four pups and Sylena entered in action: she killed the pups and broke Ushina’s neck in front of the pack. He was out hunting and when he got back, Ushina was dead. The killed mother saw Sylena coming towards her and she hid one pup, pup that Kurimutora was overjoyed to find alive: Shun. He had to take a decision though and Hakuro, after hearing what appened, went to the pack. Kurimutora exiled Sylena with Hakuro’s consent and she wasn’t seen again. Sora was treated like an outcast for what his mother did and Kurimutora couldn't do anything to protect him, or better, he was too focused with Shun that he went blind towards the other son: even if Sora was the oldest, the cream kai already decided that Shun was the one that would become the next leader. When a dog named Vaal became a threat for all Japan, Kurimutora didn’t believe Sora, the first one to warn them about her and tried to negotiate with her when she visited his pack. He didn’t approve of Shun travelling to Ohu because he didn’t think it was necessary to tell every dog that Vaal might have been a problem for the future, since he didn’t consider her so and he agreed with Weed’s decision of not sending a group of dogs with Sora to check on her. He and Hakuro were good friends but entered in conflict because Hakuro didn’t trust Vaal and warned Kurimutora about her.

Relation to the Ginga universe:
His pack is allied with Hakuro's and he often visited the kai's pack, with him and Kurimutora being friends by now. Both of his sons travelled to Ohu. One of his pack members, Leila, is also a granddaughter of Denshichi/Kichinosuke, one of Kisaragi’s sons. Another pack member, Alejandro, that trains the new recruits with Kurimutora' son, is the son of Tokimune.
