Related to Spirit: Garrett escues horses (wild and tame), and rehabilitate them. He worked closely with the Colonel, often trading horses but in secret setting the military horses free. He also is dating Rosalie, the Colonel's daughter.

History: Garrett was born on his fathers ranch near early summer. When he was five his mother died from a sickness so he and his became very close. He would help his father with the chores and help him take care of the horses and cattle. When Garrett was in his 20s his father passed away leaving Garrett all alone. He mostly stayed at his ranch only going into town to sell some cows or to buy supplies. One hot summer morning he road into town and saw that some horses where being sold in the tow square. At first he didnt care too much because he couldnt spend too much money, but then one horse caught his eye. He saw Apache rearing and bucking trying to fight off the man holding him. Garrett was impressed with the horses wild spirit and bought Apache.

Garrett's ranch is full of wild and tame horses young and old. He treats them all like family and shows the repect. Garrett does a lot of work with the calvary, buying their horses that they don't need and selling them supplies. That's how Garrett met Rosalie Torres, the Conoel's daughter. The two became friends and Garrett secretly had a crush on her. The two would go out riding for a few hours and have a race back to the calvary camp, Rosalie usually won because Apache didn't want to put much of an effort into racing.

Garrett love all his horses and does whatever is in their best interst. If he has an untameable horse he sets them free, if he has a horse that is from an indian tribe and can't adjust to ranch life he gives them to and indian village to have. Garrett works hard with his horses day and night, he had recently tried working with Rowdy, a young stallion born on the ranch. Rowdy was a high spirited horse and was not responding to most of his training methods and often excaped. Garrett would have to chase him down and catch him before he'd get far. He'd often have to keep Rowdy in his stable, he felt horrible about keeping him locked up but he was doing it to keep him safe. One day Garrett went into town with Lexington to get supplies for the ranch and when they returned they saw that Rowdy had excaped. Garrett was devistated that Rowdy had excaped, but at the same time was relieved that Rowdy was free to run wild with the other wild horses.
