Toby Part One: Hero Worship

Toby wants to be a wolf-dog just like his hero, Balto. But when his friend is in trouble, Toby will have to face the odds and his own limitations to discover his hidden potential. This takes place after redwolf03's "Second Chance" series, which is now finished. It may make more sense if you read "A Second Chance: Copper," and "Finale: One Last Chance" first.

Hi, my name is Dragon Tamer (but you knew that). I love to write, I love to read, and I love websites that encourage user participation, so Balto Source is the perfect site for me.
I believe in honoring the spirit of the original Balto films (clean entertainment, moral basis, characters and personalities, etc.), and primarily stick to their canon (though my upcoming fic"Balto's Treasure Island" will place them in an alternate setting and plot). I regard the prime objective of fanfiction to be faithfulness to the original characters on the levels of morality and personality.
I am also working toward becoming a professional writer, and in fact have recieved some very complementary statements from one of my personal role models, Bryan Davis (author of the best-selling Dragons in our Midst and Oracles of Fire series) for a story of mine based on his works.

does fit pretty well, and sometimes personalities change
with age, so it does come together in that light. I'd be
very interested to see a sequel to that fanfic!

It is good to hear what you think. In answer to your
comment: I thought about this before, yes, and I admit it is
not my best fanfiction as it was a little muddled. I'm not
sure about the charater personalities, they are really as
similar as I can get them, but you never know, there is
always room for improvement The way I thought it, and
never really wrote another fan fic to go after, was they
were sorta friends for a while, but as they grew older Balto
and Jenna sorta drifted apart till they knew each other, but
hadn't really spoken or been close in a long time. Maybe I
will write another story about this so people don't get
confused. Anyway, thank you so much for reading, its really
good to see someone taking an intrest, and I hope you will
choose to read some more!
