Non-talkative, uncomfortable and cautious, sometimes is so shy he forgets his manners (for example Gillo and his brother have a rude habit of discussing a strangers' good or bad points - within the strangers' hearing range; (They do not do this on-purpose, they are simply rather thoughtless, but are improving).

With Friends/Family:

When around those he is familiar with, especially his brother Grupa, Gillo is very plucky, funny and extremely modest, honest and kind - sometimes, however, he good naturedly teases.

Likes:

talking to his family; playing and spending time with his family or friends; being fondled by his mother

Dislikes:

being alone in/on wide open spaces (like meadows); hunters

History:

The Beginning...

Gillo was born, youngest of twins, to Gneiss Mountainbuck and Immi. His birthplace was Immi's thicket, hidden away deep in Bambi's forest. From the start Gillo and his older brother (Grupa) were very close - their bond was so strong, they would never do anything without each other (up until the time they became adults, and began to naturally drift apart).

  Gillo was a healthy fawn, and his early life was mostly happy and peaceful. However, his childhood was one lacking a father figure. For Gneiss Mountainbuck had vanished a week prior to his sons' birth, and Immi could not tell whether her mate was alive or dead.  

Gillo never resented the fact that his sire was absent - he was happy enough just being with his mother and brother. But at times of hardship he did wish Gneiss was around, so to feel safer (both Gillo and Grupa were shy, cautious fawns, easily startled by the smallest of things whether dangerous or not).

'We must leave this forest, my sons...'

- Immi to Gillo and Grupa

Immi had an Uncle called Agrill, who wanted her to live in his herd. Immi refused. Before Agrill could force Immi and her fawns to join his large tribe of deer, she took Gillo and Grupa away from Bambi's forest in search of the Silver Herd; with Agrill in hot pursuit. 

On their strenuous (and rather tragic) journey, Immi and her sons managed to shake Agrill off their trail and soon found the Silver Herd, into which they were welcomed quite warmly.

Gillo and Grupa found it hard to fit into their new herd. They felt very insecure, and shy of everybody, especially the other Silver Herd fawns. But they did form a strong bond with one deer - Soldier, who was (at the time) the oldest buck in the herd. Soldier was like Gillo and Grupa's surrogate father.

To fit in with the other fawns, Gillo and Grupa tried to act confident and tough. But they became too cocky, and disrespectful to their elders (save Soldier and Immi); and the other fawns saw them as bullies. Javam suffered worse under Gillo and Grupa's antagonizing, as they openly discussed his then curious ears. But Soldier and Lord Malvon had a talk with the twins, who ceased their troublesome ways.

 Eventually, Gillo and Grupa began to settle down, and form more friendships within the Silver Herd.

One spring, when Gillo was a year old, Gneiss Mountainbuck returned. Gillo had expected to be really shy and nervous of his father, whom he had never met before. In fact, Gillo and Grupa loved their sire as soon as they met him. 

Currently...

Gillo continues to live, happy, in the Silver Herd. Sometimes Gillo helps Lughooey and Geeri, the Herd Foragers, with their job, especially when Geeri is busy with her fawns. 

Gillo has become part of Lyra's family - her mate in fact. 

Since his second spring, Gillo has been interested in stars, and occasionally does sky-watching at night with Grupa or Lyra
 

Relation to the Bambi Universe: the territory of Gillo's current herd (Silver Herd), is situated near Bambi's forest. Also, has been acquainted with Prince Bambi, Faline, Ronno,  Thumper and Friend Owl.
