Why do blank renders get coloured in with offical?

Why is it blank renders tend to get coloured in with the offical characters?
Like, I see loads of blank renders of- say Scar- being colored in just as Scar. Sometimes, there's no change in backgrounds or anything...What's the point of that?
P.S. Below is a rough example that I did, so you can see what I mean :3

As I've said, that's pure lazyness (I would personally report this for the lack of effort). I'm sure they do that because they don't care about the official characters. They do that because they want to send in renders of their characters; from my point of view.
