Personality: Loveable, carefree, and immature. He still lives in the mindset of a cub, but when in doubt he can display signs of maturity at any given moment. He just prefers to live in the mindset where nothing can possibly go wrong and everything is happy go-lucky.

History: Laguna was found abandoned in the Pridelands by Nakato. Having had her true son, Taka, taken into her sister Uru's custody, Nakato was quick to take Laguna in and claim him as her own. Since Laguna was still a newborn and he looked very similar to Nakato, it led to rumors that Laguna was fathered by a rogue. Uru was initially not too happy that her sister had another cub, but nevertheless allowed it because secretly she was happy Nakato had a cub with a rogue than with Ahadi.

Nakato grew to love Laguna - he chased away those feelings of resentment she felt towards her sister. Even though he was not truly her cub, she considered him so. She coddled him with love and protection, and in turn he gave her love and friendship. Laguna grew up to be friends with Mufasa, but not Scar as something inside him made him feel scared of the cub, despite Nakato's protests.

Laguna was an adolescent when Uru died, and Nakato entered a period of shock. Laguna was able to pull Nakato out of that dark period, but once Ahadi passed on, he knew he lost her. He decided to leave the Pridelands and have his own family. He eventually bumped into Chipo, who was also on her own. Though the two were different, they still fell in love with each other and became mates. Together they had Ni and Leo.

One day, while hunting for food, Laguna accidentally wandered into the Pridelands and bumped into Sarafina. Neither recognized the other from their cubhood. Sarafina was in season at this time, and Laguna could not help himself, he was tempted. They mated and Laguna left, terrified that he would betray his family like this. When he returned to Chipo, he lied and told her that he had been chasing an impala that eluded him. She accepted the lie readily, but this did not comfort Laguna. He began to daydream about Sarafina, and this strained his relationship with his mate, who began to feel neglected by him. When she confronted him about his strange behavior, Laguna accidentally let slip that he was unfaithful. He was chased away by Chipo immediately after.

With nowhere to go, Laguna went to the Pridelands to appeal to Mufasa to allow him to live with them. Mufasa happily agreed to have Laguna stay as long as he saw fit. Nakato had already passed when Laguna was gone, and he was devastated to learn that his adopted mother kept on asking for him in her final moments. He also reunited with Sarafina, who too was not happy to see him, especially after he abandoned her so quickly.

Stressed, Laguna finally told Sarafina the whole story, and Sarafina was left disgusted with him. She did eventually get over her hate for him when Nala was born, and Laguna made sure that he could be a part of her life as possible. However, they had to keep that secret under wraps, for only Mufasa was allowed to mate with the lionesses of the pride. Laguna stayed in the Pridelands until Scar took Mufasa's place as king, and he was immediately chased out by Scar's hyenas.

At this point, Laguna wanted to make amends with Chipo, but he was unsure if she was still ready to forgive him. So he waited time out, joining a brotherhood of lions to survive the following years until he decided it was time to find his broken family. With luck, he was able to track them, and needless to say he was impressed Ni was ruler of his own pride. He was joyous that Chipo was with him, and appealed to the both of them to allow him to stay with them, on accounts that he was sorry he was a horrible mate and father, and was going to make things right. Though rightfully hesitant, Chipo and Ni agreed to allow him to join them. For the next couple of years, Laguna did his best to win back his son's love and his mate, succeeding in the process. He was able to reform his relationship with Ni while being the dedicated lover to Chipo that he knew he should've been immediately.

Chipo passed at the age of eleven, which left Laguna devastated. Ni's other lionesses tempted him from the sides, but he refused them, as tribute to Chipo's memory. Laguna passed a year later, happy to finally reunite with Chipo.
