Personality: Hasani is just like his father Ikeena, the exception being where Ikeena could easily be described as having 'the mixture of a hippie and a surfer', Hasani could be described as a 'book dumb Casanova'. Even as a cub Hasani was always interested in finding the love of his life. He lacks responsibility and is a bit dim, a true blonde as one could say. Even though he is irresponsible, Hasani acknowledges his flaws, but doesn't feel motivated to change.

History: Hasani was the first-born cub to Ikeena and Malkia, therefore it was expected of him to take Ikeena's role when he grew up. However Hasani was never interested in being the leader - he had other priorities he wanted to take care of, and being a leader would ruin it for him! Nevertheless Ikeena wanted to be a better parent, not only to his cubs with Dalia, but to his cubs with Malkia since he never had a good relationship with his father Ni, and Hasani found that when he grew up he wanted to be like his father.

As Abeni was the only female living within the pride that was not related, Hasani grew to have a crush on the older cub. However Abeni was in the middle of having her own troubles, and was uninterested in his clumsy advances. As he grew older, he became more handsome as well as conceited, but not to the point where he shoved the idea in everyone's face. When Ikeena died, the pride was devastated, and Hasani felt guilty that he passed up the role as leader, but he knew Malaika would be much better for the role than he was.

He also discovered that Kanoni was having a secret relationship with Abeni, but instead of being upset since he still had unrequited feelings for Abeni, he was very happy for his younger sister. He told Abeni that if she was happy with Kanoni, he would be happy for her, and she made him swear not to tell anyone else about what he saw. He agreed to. When Abeni and Kanoni approached him, asking him for his help in getting Abeni pregnant so they could raise cubs together, Hasani happily agreed to the idea, being promised that he would also have just as much involvement with their lives, though they wouldn't be told he was their father until they were older. With Abeni, he fathers two daughters, Nkiru and Nkechi. However, Nkiru is discovered to be missing, which leaves him, Abeni, and Kanoni devastated. Even though he is continually insisted not to, Hasani becomes very protective over Nkechi.

Sad that he still had no one, Hasani searched for a potential lover, and found one in someone unexpectant - a black cheetah by the name of Lightning. She stalked their pride grounds for some time, and when she got too close, it was fortunate Hasani found her and let her go. After multiple instances of this happening (with it being on purpose on Hasani's part), and with many proposals from Hasani that they become mates, Lightning finally took him up on the offer that she would be his mate, on the condition he saved some leftovers and gave them to her so she could feed her siblings. He agreed quickly, not seeing the dark purposes behind Lightning's ready agreement.

Hasani felt his relationship with Lightning was going smoothly, ignorant of the fact that Lightning continued to use him for her own gain. But this was brought to light by him once he and Lightning encountered the pregnant Ashanti. Ashanti, who had once been attacked and chased off by Lightning and her siblings, threw herself between Hasani and his 'mate', falsely believing that Hasani was being used. Hasani, at first, was dumbstruck, but as the ensuing argument between Ashanti and Lightning continued, it was eventually brought to light that, yes, Lightning was using Hasani. What he did not know was Lightning's own gradual feelings for Hasani. Ashanti chased Lightning off, and Hasani was heartbroken.

But Lightning did return to him, where Hasani insisted that he still loved her as much as he now loved Ashanti. However, Lightning did not feel he had meant it, and ended their relationship, leaving and taking his half-sister Ispen with her.

Meanwhile, Ashanti clung onto Hasani, for she was nearing the time to give birth, and Hasani allowed her to. When she gave birth to Kamau, Ashanti already felt feelings for Hasani, and asked him if he would be her mate. Hasani, still reeling over losing Lightning, but steadily falling for Ashanti, accepted, and took her and Kamau in. Excited to be a full-time father, Hasani happily took to Kamau, and tried to teach him all he knew once the cub was old enough. However, Kamau was shy, but Hasani was patient with him. He was also able to finally convince Ashanti to live within his deceased father's pride.
