Personality: Tough and cranky, but intelligent. Ari was a strong leader who kept his pride from falling into another lion's paws for many years. He has garnered something of a reputation for being strong. He is determined and will fight no matter the cost. He has an odd sense of humor. As he aged, he began to become forgetful and was prone to sickness frequently.

History: Ari experienced neglect from both his parents as soon as his mane began growing in. In the pride, having a white mane symbolized an early death, so Ari was treated as an outcast. His parents wanted little to do with him, but they cared for him until he was old enough to leave his pride. He was chased away by Amir, and not long after that his parents were killed.

 Ari attached himself to a bachelor pride of young males. He fought and became the leader of that pride, but once he was old enough, he left and eyed taking over Olric's pride. The two males fought for awhile, but inevitably Olric's age was against him and he lost. After Olric's departure, Ari made his daughter, Quanna, his favorite female. Over the course of the years, he fought off many lions who were eyeing to take over his pride. He had a reputation for being the strongest and fierciest lion around.

However, soon he began to get old, and his strength began to fade. He was becoming forgetful of those around him and of things he's said, often repeating himself. Eventually he became very ill and hardly left his den because he didn't have the strength to be active. This was a prime opportunity for Judas who came to take the pride. Rising up to the challenge, Ari fought, but since he was a clear disadvantage he lost badly, and was overthrown. Unashamed of his loss, he left his pride in Judas's paws along with Quanna, asking Judas to take care of everyone.

Ari struggled to help feed himself and Quanna, but eventually he succumbed to his illness, leaving his poor mate to fend for herself.
