Minions Source is Gone for good?

Not to worry!  Minions Source isn't going anywhere anytime soon, but the name of the site has officially changed to Despicable Me Source! I'm aware that the URL still says minions, but it will hopefully be corrected soon after some further discussing.

Update: The URL has been changed from minions to despicableme.

Amazon has just started listing a "The Land Before Time" (Blu-ray + DIGITAL HD).

It's also on Bluray.com, so we can think this is official! So, Land Before Time is finally coming up in high definition Bluray on October 13, 2015.

Does this mean a Balto bluray may finally come up, next? Who knows!

Within the few days that Minions Source has been open to the public, some users have mentioned that the yellow background is "too bright for their eyes." After making an attempt to tone down the color of the background, we decided that it just didn't look good, so we reverted back to the original background and made it clear that we won't be altering the design any further. But to keep the peace and respect the eyesight of others, I've decided to make a secondary design. I'm sorry, Kovu fans!

Jason Marsden, the voice actor of adult Kovu has confirmed lately that we most likely won't see Kovu in the new Lion King TV series, Lion Guard. The original article also jumps to a brave conclusion that Kovu's absence in Lion Guard means that he is dead, but I personally wouldn't worry about it, as the site is obviusly trying to make it a cheap sensation.

Okay folks, one more little (read: FINAL) update on the situation with the Minions Source color scheme and brightness fun.  lol  We've considered how things looked since it was requested, by a miniscule number of people, that we change the brightness of the yellow because it was apparently so overwhelming...

Hey everyone!  So we've been receiving feedback on the question of the layout of Minions Source, specifically pertaining to the color scheme.  The reactions have been varied.  And I will give you an honest appraisal of them.  And it comes down mostly to "Art 101"...understanding the concepts of complementary colors and relative brightness or shadiness.

Until recently, I had never noticed that the default style for the Animation Source forums was a bit...ugly. Bland, white and grey, without even a proper site logo. And yet, most of you who aren't old members had this style!

So, I've worked today on that issue, and here's a totally new forum style for you!

I have updated the left menu music player (that you can find on almost all sites) to the latest version, and customized the look so it fits better.

The titles of the tracks were usually not readable (only the first letters), I have removed the thumbnails so the title is now correctly displayed!

If some of you get errors, try to clear the cache of your browser. It should solve the problem. (CTRL + F5)

For those members in Australia, you may or may not be aware that The Lion King Musical has been showing in Sydney and Melbourne for roughly two years.
Well, it was announced just a few days ago that the show will be making it's way to Perth by November this year!
This is the first time the lion king has been to perth, despite the fact the movie has been out for almost 21 years and the musical 18 (in New York 1997)

The Site Boosters for TLK Source have come up with a new idea and we would like to know what you think of it.

The idea is to have a section in the fan image area just for bases to be uploaded into. This will help you to find certain bases, and also not to crowd up the fan image galleries with the blank renders.

The same principle will also go for linearts in the fanart section of the Sources.

Designed by Moki Hunter (color sugggestion by me), she has come up with a nice and refreshing design! There are some changes yet being made with the color of the links, but for the most part it's complete. She's also working on a red version of this layout if you would prefer a red version.

Gravity Falls Source is now open to all users, and not long after the shows mid-season finale, and the opening of NIMH source too! This site was built by Blazetail and myself (Meemee), and has been a couple of months in the making.

Believe it or not, it's been almost a year since the last site opening! (which was My Little Poney Source, and it'd need more love BTW!)

Yesturday I was looking at the chat, and figured... Maybe it'd be time for some changes!

The first change is a big one : now, the default chat on all sites is the Shared Shout Box! Which means that on all the sites, you'll be able to talk with everyone, whatever the site they're on!

Hello Animation Source!

I'm happy to announce that one of AS' less popular sources, Anastasia Source just get a brand new design!

The style is on English side only. You can always come back to the previous style in Choose a style option.

What comes at a total shock for me, totally unexpected coming from Disney, is the confirmation that Disney will be making a whole new series for "Ducktales", coming on Disney XD in 2017! 

The official press release states that the new series is a reboot, while keeping the same main characters and even side characters (Gizmoduck, anyone?)

I've received an email from the managers of the New York Int'l Children's Film Festival, currently running an online auction to raise funds for Film-Ed programs, which provide quality arts experiences to young people and families in NYC with limited resources.

In a time of major struggle, DreamWorks Animation has reported that it will immediately shut down one of its main studios, Pacific Data Images. The impact of the closure will be big as approximately 500 staff will be dismissed. Some of PDI’s laid-off staff will be relocated to DreamWorks’ Glendale studio.

I have good news! Now that I can dedicate more time to Animation Source, I am thinking of all the possible ways to improve Animation Source and take it further.

My short-term goal is to :

- Put an effort into finishing the Sources sites that were being worked on, but never got "released", (such as "Secret of NIMH Source", "Regular Show Source"...)

- Make the current sites more active. I'll describe more specific plans about this later, but I have already started by giving each site its own section [...]
