First things first, if you haven't noticed, the default Zootopia Source theme has been changed to the Nocturnal District layout for Halloween. We also plan to make a few changes to the layout to give it more of a Halloween feel, which will hopefully be up soon.

Going along with the Halloween theme, ThankU has made a rather spooky drawing of ClawHauser (which is quite accurate to his design if I do say so myself) as a demon in a graveyard. I would personally like to see a digital version of this drawing.

Here comes this time of the year when everything gets dark and spooky. Default style on Balto Source has been changed temporary into Halloween theme and will stay this way till the end of October.

If you don't like the current theme, you can always switch back to your favourite style using "style" button on the banner.

Today we can officialy confirm a new live-action reimiagining of our beloved Disney movie. Jon Favreau, director another newly-remade Disney animation classic, The Jungle Book, premiered April this year, announced on his Facebook that his new project is going to be The Lion King!

Some of you may have known I was working on a new design for the hub, but otherwise I've kept quiet about it. lol Anyway, the design has been approved by Steet and is now the default theme! If you prefer Steet's design, you can still use it by clicking on the "style" button.

The color scheme is a bit similar to the one found on the French side, but mine is a bit darker I believe. I was also aiming towards a old paper style. :P

No, you're not dreaming - there are indeed new icons under the site banner!

I wanted to give a modern look to the interface and make it easier to use, with large and easy to identify icons.

It retains all the previous possibilities, they're just reorganized a bit. And this new interface will allow me to add some really useful possibilities soon!

You'll also notice a new "Quick Menu", which replaces the plain ugly select box and should make your life much easier to switch from one Animation Source site to another! :)

Hey Zootopia/Zootropolis fans!  I wanted to update you on the status of the upcoming DVD and Blu-Ray releases of the movie.  And it's close (at least for some of us)!

Hullo there!  Been down about all the inactivity on Animation Source lately?

Then I have some good news for you!  Over on Robin Hood Source, we've begun an effort at expanding and revamping existing material (or the lack thereof).  It all started with an original request by site boosters Windhowler and XPennydisneyloverx to help them update the existing official character pages, and to add ones for the remaining official characters which were never done.  For a while, nobody seemed very interested in helping, so I volunteered and, with the help of Mightybalto1925 [...]

I apologize for the inconvenience, but the Balto III screenshots will be down until I can sort out the problem I'm having. Steet did get back with me, but all he could suggest was to re-upload them, which didn't solve the problem. I will have to examine my files to see if it IS a problem on my end. I hope to have the screenshots back up within 48hrs or less.

This is more of a poll, but I want to know if you guys are happy with the current Balto III screenshots. (the ones that are there now are cropped and pixelated) If not, I can work on taking screenshots from the iTunes version of the film, which is MUCH better in quality. I will note that Balto III was never released in widescreen, so fullscreen screenshots is what you will get.

Pixar’s Inside Out was the movie that brought the studio back to the spot light, and now stands as one of the most critically-loved animated features of the decade. All you have to do is create something (it can be anything) that follows the "quote of the week". At the end of each week, lionobsession will announce the winner and will award the winner.

Some of you may have noticed the new scrolling banner - Learn Swahili.

This is a new activity which I hope you'll enjoy and make the site more active, as well as be an interesting way to discover more about one of the languages used in The Lion King.

The banner will change weekly and will range from basic Swahili phrases to mottos and teachings similar to those used in The Lion King.

The updates are small, but I would like to mention that the merchandise page is now complete... for the most part. lol There's one other tab that I need to work on, but I was at a loss as to what to include there, and I wanted to get this project out of the way. But when I do eventally do finish that tab (which I've deactivated for now), I'll see that it be added to a future news article. That aside, I created the pages in way that shows a picture of the item (which links to the product on Amazon), then a description next to it.

Yes folks, it is once again that time of the year to celebrate the best of cinema with the 88th Academy Awards. While 2015 wasn’t a big year for animated features, there were still plenty of highlight movies, and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have now officially selected five unique nominations for the Best Animated Feature category. It is always sad when the voice of a Disney icon passes away, and this is no exception with Brian Bedford who unfortunately died from cancer this Wednesday. The British stage actor was most-widely known among the Disney community as the voice of the titular anthropomorphic fox in the 1973's Robin Hood. He was 80 when he died, and will be dearly missed by Disney fans.

Rest in peace Brian Bedford [1935-2016].
